There are approx 16 million domestic gardens in the UK and how we manage them for wildlife can make a significant impact on the biodiversity of our local  and wider environment. However, there is the perception that wildlife gardens have to be jungles containing mostly nettles and brambles for it to be of any worth to wildlife.
